I can't find my clothes

It is so annoying trying to find clothes each morning since all of my clothes are in a big pile in the basement we are not living in yet. IF I were an intelligent person, I would pick clothes the night before and lay them out, and I do consider doing this every night, but somehow it never happens. For example, it is almost 9:00 pm right now and I should be trying to find something, but the blog was calling my name so....end of story. Wish me luck tomorrow morning. I will need it.

The (mostly) finished project

It looks so beautiful!! Elliot has almost everything in his study. The bedroom hasn't been set up yet but it looks good. Every earthly possession we have is sitting in a massive pile in the living room. I am not looking forward to finding a place for all of it. But I am happy that we are mostly moved in. I love our new cute little house. It fits us perfectly. I will put up more pictures after we move in a bit more.

Floors are in

Elliot and his dad put in the floors, baseboard and crown molding. The rooms look great!!

Finishing the painting....

We ended up choosing this really pretty blue for the bedroom. You might not be able to tell in this picture, it kind of just looks white here, but take my word on it. It is a very beautiful color for a room.

Elliot chose a dark red called "chocolate" for his study room. I was a little nervous about how it would look in such a tiny room but it turned out very pretty, or manly, whatever.

Finally painting....

First we had to prime which wasn't as fun as the actual painting. I picked out what looked like a really pretty purple color for our room but once I started painting the ceiling, it started looking like a little baby's nursery. So then we had to go back and re-prime the ceiling again. Not very much fun.

Mudding the sheetrock...

They are starting to look like actual rooms. So exciting.

Sheetrock...

Check out those muscles. Good thing we had some strong men to put up all that heavy sheetrock.

Building...

So for those that don't know, Elliot and his dad have been finishing Elliot's parents basement for us to move into. I have been too lazy to blog during the entire building process so I am just going to do multiple blogs displaying the various building stages. This was the beginning just after we cleaned out the basement and got everything ready to start sheet rocking . Elliot's dad did all of the electrical work himself which I was very impressed by. The first picture is of Elliots study (or his "man cave" as he prefers to call is). The second picture if of our soon to be bedroom and the third picture is of the bathroom which was filled with storage.

I hope I do this right

So Elliot set this blog up and he is not here right now so I thought I would try to make our first post. I'm not even sure if this is how you do it so I guess I will just write and see if it works. Elliot and I have been married for a little over 2 years. We met at BYU. Typical. We moved to Georgia last August so that Elliot could go to Georgia State. He is majoring in accounting and finance and will hopefully graduate winter 2008. I am working for a home builder called Legacy Communities. I work in the warranty department dealing with new homeowners and any issues they have with their new houses. Ok, that is about it for now. I am going to try and post this and see if it works. Wish me luck!
