We're baaaaaack

So the trip to Indiana was fun. Getting there wasn't much fun since Graham cried 8 out of the 10 hours it took us to get there. Once we were there and he was out of the car things were great. He loved all the attention he got from my parents and my brother's family. Here he is playing catch with my dad. He didn't completely understand the concept and mostly just held onto the ball.

I made a cake for my sister in celebration of her high school graduation. I saw this cake design in Family Fun Magazine and couldn't wait to try it out. It turned out really well I thought and it was super easy to make.

Here are my parents and sister after the ceremony.
Here is a picture of a tattoo on some girl that was attending the graduation. It isn't the best picture because I didn't know the girl and had to stand as close as I could to her and pretend I was taking a picture of someone else. It was slightly awkward but I'm glad I got this shot. Her tattoo was of a blowdryer blowdrying a butterfly!!! What in the world??
My niece Isabelle loves Graham and wanted him all to herself the whole time. Anytime someone else would try and take him she would yell "that's my Graham!" It was pretty adorable. She fed him, helped change his diapers and played with him the entire time we were up there. It was kind of nice. I wish she had come home with us. Our own personal 5 year old nanny. Nothing wrong with a little child labor.

We made the trip up to Indiana with Elliot's parents and on the way back home we stopped in Nashville and celebrated Bill's birthday by eating take out mexican food in a hotel room. Could there be a better birthday? Don't judge his happiness level on the face he is making, he always looks like that.
While we were in Nashville I also got to go to a Carrie Underwood concert. It was a really good concert. I really only know the songs of hers that are on the radio but it was still fun to hear her sing some of her other ones that I had never heard. She sang "How Great Thou Art" which was fantastic. Unfourtanetely these are the best pictures I could get.

Now that we know Graham doesn't like long car rides very much we've decided to test the waters on long plane trips and are leaving for Oregon this Saturday. That's a 5 hour non stop plane ride. Think he'll scream the whole way? I'm sure our fellow plane travelers will think his screaming is just so adorable right?

Why don't you go and buy an economy size pack of those yellow ear plugs. That way any time someone complains you can just offer them a pair of ear plugs.

Seriously though, it might not be a bad idea!

I'm with Ollie, that's a pretty good idea.

Anyway, Graham is SO cute! I think he's getting cuter by the second, I can't wait to hold him and shove his little baby face in my boobs so he loves me more...I do it to Elle all the time and we're totally bonded.
You never mentioned you went to a Carrie Underwood concert...did that just slip your mind? Very fun!

Graham is so big! Sitting up all by himself. I'm glad he enjoyed all the attention. I hope it was a break for you too. Your cake turned out great!

We will have to have Jayme and Virginia come out while you are here and let them play together. Should be fun!! Can't wait to see you and I am so jealous of you going to a Carrie Underwood concert. That would be so fun!! If Graham starts crying on the plane, just tell people that you just adopted him and he doesn't know who you are. Or, blame it on Ollie, she won't be there to defend herself!! OR, you could just pretend that he is Elliot's baby and you are annoyed like everyone else!! Ha, ha! Have fun!

Hey Trace! Oh my word, you look just like yourself! I hope you don't mind, I found you on facebook through Alycia's friends and saw you had a blog . . . anyway you know how that happens. You have an adorable little boy! And what a fun trip! Too bad I didn't find you before you went to Nashville, I have a sister that lives there and could've come to visit her and you! It's only a five hour drive for me. Well, now that I left you a novel, I guess I'll leave space for someone else. But feel free to visit our blog: marylandcarters.blogspot.com

Sure good to see you Trace!
