baby pics

Last Tuesday we had our dr's visit with a specialist to make sure my fluid levels were ok. They did an ultrasound on me for about 45 minutes which was pretty cool. It was the longest that we have been able to see our baby. And they got some really cool pictures this time. All the other times we have had ultrasounds, they have never been able to get a profile shot. It makes it finally look like a real baby and not just like some blob that you have to stare at for awhile to figure out excactly what you are seeing. After the long ultrasound, the dr. told us he does not see anything wrong with me or the baby and that I am just on the higher end of the amniotic fluid spectrum. No big deal for now. They will just have to monitor to make sure it doesn't get up too high. So that is great news. They said the baby is very healthly and growing just like it should. That was good to hear too because somedays I wonder if I am growing a Shaq 2 or something. I am just getting bigger and bigger!! And for awhile I didn't think anything of it, but I can't go anywhere in public without the Walgreens employee, or the wal-mart checker, or the guy behind me in the sandwhich line trying to give me a complex about how massive I am. oh my goodness, mam, are you about to go into labor RIGHT HERE in this line? It makes me wonder if I really am this huge woman who should be banned inside her house until this animal baby comes out of me. Unfourtanetely for everyone involved, I have 5 more weeks of work which makes it difficult to avoid public appearances. So I guess I will just gear up for more comments from complete strangers about my size.
(I might as well admit that these comments from people don't really bother me very much. I would much prefer people to think I am 2 minutes from giving birth then to have them wonder if I am pregnant or just fat at 9 months. I think it would be harder to not get very big at all and always have to tell people you are pregnant.)
I wish I had something else interesting to report about my life, but I just don't. I am just getting by day to day, getting up, going to work, counting down the minutes until bedtime. I live for that blessed hour of bedtime. Which actually happens to be right now....

The ultrasound pics are great! Loved seeing the new niece/nephew!!!! Glad to hear everything is going fine with the pregnancy and I think you look like a perfectly normal pregnant woman. I think people sometimes forget that when you're short the baby has nowhere to go but out!

so cute! aren't ultrasounds awesome?? I love seeing the baby, it somehow makes it more bearable to see them and know that they are doing well, I am so glad to hear that all is a-ok, I am so tired!!! I am the most un-motivated I have ever been in my life, i don't want to do anything. hope you don't feel like me! keep us updated on the babes:)

Your life is very entertaining to me. The fact that total strangers are coming up to you worried (like they might have to deliver the baby without proper medical training) that you could go into labor right in front of them makes me laugh.

I think you should kick anyone in the face that has any comment to make to you regarding pregnancy. I nearly did it once to a doctor not my own in my ward who told me my baby would not be born anytime soon because I had not dropped and I should probably buy some bigger maternity clothes. I had Ryder 2 days later. Fathead. I am still angry at that buttface.
